A family-run bakery and cafe in Matakana Village, started by Polish twins Michał and Dorota along with Michał’s wife Ola, so alongside the sourdough loaves, croissants and danishes you’ll also find Polish custard buns, traditional cakes and Polka Deli sausages. Dogs are welcome both inside and out, with plenty of room either way and a sunny outdoor area looking over the village and rural views. Don’t be surprised if you spot the occasional goat joining the regulars too.
There’s loads of parking and it’s a short stroll to the rest of the village, so it’s an easy stop with a dog in tow. The staff are friendly and quick, and it’s a cosy spot on a cold day, especially with one of their Italian hot chocolates.
