Bestie Cafe

Bestie is tucked into the lovely old St Kevins Arcade on Karangahape Road, with grand arched windows that look straight out over the trees of Myers Park. It is one of the prettier places to eat in the city, full of light and character, with Billie Culy artworks on the walls and a relaxed, easy buzz to it. The food is brunch done well, from a smoked salmon fishcake with kūmara purée through to a red lentil dahl with coconut labneh, and there are plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, plus a cabinet of baking that is hard to walk past.

Best of all, it is dog-friendly inside, so Bentley gets to come in out of the weather and settle while we eat. A great K Road spot for a beautiful brunch and a comfortable visit with your dog.
